    GOLDSPRINTS … i’m shattered

i won’t have time to post this morning, other than graffitti’n a couple of pics.

what to know about the action last night at Mike’s Bikes in SacTown?
    – – – – –

winshit.jpg1. JimBo is the MAN. He pulled the fastest 500m of the night at 19.4 and then played all chivalrous with Newell over the main prize-fests of the night.

More later on that shyte … it was golden.

amandarocks.jpgmoralesness.jpg2. Amanda rocks it like there’s no tomorrow. i don’t think i need to comment on the hotness -O- meter rising.
    – – –

    3. Courtney and Morales showed up and she kicked his ass straight into the winner’s chair. Ah yeah … roadie scum overcomes the madskilz and frenetic legs of the hipstars.

gimme.jpgsacrifice4glory.jpg(of note, there were 3 or 4 hairy-assed, pin-faced, tattoo-covered hipsters who FUCKING ROCKED those sprints. gawDAMN i love seeing shit like that.)

I was bummed that Mike’s did not sponsor a similar party at the PA location on Sunday night. Sacra-tomato is a long-ass haul.

And looking at that bottom left pic I have this urge to get a whole vat-o-wax and take care of that hirsuteness issue.

I was the sole yuppie interloper lurking in the shadows and really dug the vibe. Mike, you represented the Masters fabulously as the Godfather of Spin with your costume changes (like a vibrant James Brown): white skinny suit, VBella suit, jumping up for last-second substitutions . . . we gotta get you a CAPE (with Beth Newell as your Danny Ray).

i so know what i’m wearing for next halloween. Cape indeed!

thanks Glenn. and see you and your crew at the races.

Hincapie pulled himself back into this lead group, along with Millar, Leipheimer, Gesink, Rubiera.

      13:11 PST
Robert Gesink was fourth on this stage last year, so he is comfortable with the roads ahead. Right now, however, we’re on virgin roads for the Tour of California. We’ll hope that the tricky descent doesn’t cause any trouble for the chasers behind.

      13:15 PST
The leaders are simply bombing this descent – Rubiera is still leading as we are awaiting the results of the KOM.

      13:16 PST
Area local Ben Jacques Maynes is trying to chase up to the front group on the descent. He’s from San Jose, so will be familiar with this descent.

      13:18 PST
The front group is still rocketing down Mt. Hamilton road, and we’re having trouble identifying who exactly is in this elite group. A Gerolsteiner rider is up there, too. Moos, Hincapie, Leipheimer and Rubiera have already been confirmed. There are 16 riders here, and woah! There comes Bettini!

      Go Ben Go

Looks like Farrar gave in today.

And Cozza is a madman at this tour. As is Nydam.
