The CooperSpur circuit race yesterday sets up a very interesting (long) time trial today.

    BJM wins another stage?

womanhoodies.jpgand how about the woman’s sprint with Longo pushing barriers all up and over that final drag-effect climb.

Aaron’s was going for Sanders and the QOM action all race, with MeredithMiller reported as the crusher pace-making beast … but a crash took Sanders out and now it’s back to focusing on Gomez’s GC chances.

The TT will be VERY interesting today … can Goldstein still dominate? Or will the Gila TT Gomez won do a bit of confidence building as she chases Longo and Abbott through the Hood River windswept canyons. The Mt.Hood TT is the best in the US.

    epic, beautiful, truth race.

I can see Abbott winning this TT.

Go Max Jenkins! The Cal Giant Berry Boys are making a very good showing up in Oregon. Nice work! Let’s see who else hurls themselves at the front this week.

    Bike racing rawks!

PS, light posting this weekend as i’ll be working support for our NorCal Kern County Women’s Stage Race. see you next week, if not sooner on the interwebs, or at a venue.

I had a blast reading up on the Mt. Tabor crit stage. As a kid I grew up on the western slope of Mt. Tabor and used to ride my own yellow banana seat Schwinn around the same roads they raced on a few days ago. There even was a race around that same course in the late ’70s. I did the kids race in ’78 and got a ribbon…however, no upgrade points.
