    CNews, next day, Chavanel on his finish: “I gave it all in the sprint. And I didn’t mess it up, like Barredo (Quick Step) did yesterday.”

    Then later:

    “Frenchman Sylvain Chavanel will change teams and ride for Belgian squad Quick Step as of next year.”

    Way to start building bonds w/ your teammates…

    I think that the Chavanel quote was mistranslated.

    He said in the interview (in French) that he gave it all he had in the sprint and that he didn’t want to do a standing sprint like Barredo did yesterday. That was the only time that he mentioned him.

    Hmm, I thought the translation was like this;

    “I gave it all in the sprint, not like that punkass Barredo. Next season, I’ll show him how REAL men race bikes.”

    I should also mention that the “translator” works for Lotto/Silence.
