heart goes out to those folks involved in that tragic story. i’d never heard of it. never want to live it. wish there was something to be done.

I just started my morning by reading that story, and I will certainly look at the distracted drivers with even more anger as I ride my bike to work this morning, wondering how they can think that their need to do 40 things at once while rushing to get in a traffic jam is more important than my life. We speak on being tough on crime, locking up non-violent criminals for years on end, and this person takes a life while breaking several laws and people’s hearts get all gushy for him? The actions of the jury and others relegated life the of that young cyclists below the life of a criminal. Sickening.
