SHELLEY OLDS can make the Olympics
After the morning Dedication ride, I’m going to burn fossilfuels down to the Hellyer Velodrome and kick BenJack-Maynard’s ASS on the track.
It’s the RideTheWorldCup Fundraisers for Shelley’s uber-expensive and ridiculously necessary WorldCup trips as she pushes herself to the top of the crop of new and talented American women of the track.
BenJM said he’d be there, as Shelley has apparently been trash talking him as well. I dunno if DHolla is gonna be there in his matching USScratchChampkits, but if there’s a chance to take a picture of those 2 new young US Champ’s racing with each other and the other local heroes that helped make it happen …
well ~ i’ll just hop off my bike and snap some shots of it.
Hellyer Velodrome, great things are happening in our own backyard. And you can get involved, be a part of it. Racing is safe, challenging, do-able. The way to learn how is to attend Intro-sessions on Saturdays (and select Monday’s, check the RideTheTrack/calendar for details).
check it out – and come to this Saturday’s Party/Races to get some exposure to how much fun it is, and what sweet new skilz can be learned from it.

Halloween Cyclocross ~ Spirit of Surf City Psycho-Cross
The Bike Race, come for the costumes … stay for the costumes.
Be sure to check out the pre-race Clinic that’s being offered. The day is always so much fun as you can interact with experienced pro and amateur racers all day long, and check out how we build a course (welcome to help, if you want … just come up and ask for a job).
It’s a very cool way to spend a Saturday morning.
Be sure to pre-reg for the clinic so we can prep with space needs and food preps.
