Come to Nevada City … you poofters

Another team i love racing against are the Amgen Hardmen from down in lo-cal.  They’ve got a squad full of hammerheads who know how to push the pedals … even if they’re all too scared to come up and race against us NorCal Hooligans.

But, aside from being strong and sassy on the bikes ~ these cats are also part of the very cool “Breakaway from Cancer” project founded by Amgen Inc.

Breakaway from Cancer works to ‘increase awareness of the important resources available to cancer patients from prevention to education, and patient care to advocacy and financial support.’

There’s a kickass couple of Charity Events going on in February that you might be interested in checking out.  Bob Roll and some of the Team Columbia pros will be goofing off around the Thousand Oaks area on the Feb 7th/8th weekend ~ which is definitely worth paying a few bucks for … especially if it’s for a damn good cause.

And then, during the Tour of California, the Amgen Cycling Club is putting together another charity event that will take participants over all/any of the stages of this year’s Tour.

oh, hayle yeah.
