Howdy folks ~ yeah, i’ve been slacking on the website for a few days.  Had to suck the marrow out of our January summer … and take some time to absorb the transition of power that has occurred.  But, back to blabbing ~

Man o man … there is gonna be a sweet bit of bike craziness this Saturday, the 24th.

    DETAILS ARE HERE!

It’s a Tour of California event that will have a Kids Zone, Bike Repair and Safety Classes, an Organized Family ride to Wilder Ranch, BBQ, Bike Contests, and more.  OH … and a RAFFLE!

    .

giantbike.jpgThat’s right, there’s a chance to win a supersmooth GIANT bike donated by the koolkats of BicycleTrip.

Who knows what the weather will give us on the day ~ but, be sure to check it out if you’re in town.  It’s gonna be on helluva party to celebrate the best race in the US coming to town.

Tour of California … it’s gonna be HUGE!

SHELLEY OLDS … Crushing the Boards

radsprints.jpgVelosNewz had nothing of note, and USACycling seems to have forgotten how to type … but we afficianados of the sport know that Shelley nabbed an impressive couple of results at the recent Beijing World Cup.

Olds was 8th in the Scratch and a ground-shaking 6th in the Points.

Each international event that Shelley attends sees her take one more step forward in her ability to produce results against the world’s best riders.  That is the steady, powerful, patient progression of champions.

    Congrats Shelley!

    More NorCal World Conquerors

Rachel Lloyd put in another incredible performance at the prestigious Roubaix Cross event last weekend.  What an epic day of riding.

There was mud, there was slop, and they finished in the most famous velodrome in the world.

    hayle yeah.

95K fans crowd the streets to see …

Less famous of a venue, but just as hot and bothered, are the hills and drops of Argentina.  The BisselBoyz are down there and BJM nabbed the first climber’s jersey of the nation’s Tour after a long day of pounding away at the front.

Bissell’s advertising investment was paid off in one fell swoop by the big badass.  And now we get to watch him and Zirbel crush the TT in today’s stage.  Can’t wait to hear some resullts.

But … they better keep an eye out for AJM – cuz, he might just pop some eyes open with a sneaky performance, or two.
