I’ve lucked into a group of Tuesday hooligans who will sneak away from the work’aday long enough to hit the hills and see what sufferings will bring.

We banter, we bolster, and banish the banality of paychecks, mortgages, promotions sought, gained and lost.  For awhile …

We point ourselves up and chase each other down, and stretch the limits of what most people call ‘healthy.’  And powermeters, monitors of heart, and data recorded of each and every kind may be included, excluded, but always disregarded in our moments of joyful gathering …
