BAKE SALE to benefit Lindsay Myers’ trip to France with the US National Team in April!

    lindsay09.JPGWHO:  SugarCRM Women’s Elite Team
WHAT:  A bake sale of baked goods (muffins, monkeybread, cookies, some salty snacks), the proceeds of which will go to Lindsay to help defray her travel and food expenses as she races in France.
    WHEN:  Sunday, March 8, 2009
WHERE:  Menlo Park GP (look for a dark blue Volvo wagon, with a tent, table and surrounded by red chairs and hot bike racers)
WHY:  Do I gotta say it again?  Raise money for Lindsay to represent us, learn a TON, and have a blast racing her bike in France!!  Besides that, everyone has to eat, and our baked stuff is going to be so much better than the McDonalds or Starbucks down the street…

    [from the hotties at SugarCRM]

The US Women’s Cycling Development Program is a kickass program that is doing loads of work to get our women over to Europe for racing stints.  Lindsay is a young, talented thoroughbred who is getting the call and a chance to test herself against some of the best.

She has to pay her airfare and costs while over the pond … so, if you’re going to be spending a few bucks for food and drink during the MenloParkGP ~ why not support a classy die-hard with a dream.

    Good stuff.

Hope you interview Lindsey, Hernando. I’d like to know more about her definitely. That’s cool, another fast rising star that can inspire others.

I raced with Lindsey last year at Kern (back when she was a 3). Actually, I should say, I raced with her, until any steep hill came and then I waved goodbye as she disappeared quickly and left me to wallow in my pain cave…. :-). She is awesome. Very talented girl.

Lindsay is great. Thanks Michael. She started racing in Sept. 07 as a junior for Team Swift. Last year, after less than a full year of racing (for Laura Charameda’s Team Dewars) she finished 2nd at the U-23 Road Race at Nationals.

Raced with (or behind, as DrKim says) Lindsay at Kern and I have to say she was probably the nicest person I’ve ever met on a bike. Way to go!

Lindsay is SUPER talanted and should be consistently racing at the national and international level. She is a future star of US women’s cycling and we should do everything possible to support her!!

      Go Lindsay!!

Not only will contributions go to support a super-strong up-and-coming regional cyclist, but also go to one of the classiest, well-grounded and intelligent people you will ever race against.

Kick down some support you will not regret!

PS Hernando, this is an interview you should not miss.

We do not have a paypal (although I have a personal one and could probably arrange a transfer of funds) set up for Lindsay. However, if anyone wishes to kick in any money or checks, please contact me, and I will make certain she gets the money.
Mike, thanks so much for posting! Totally appreciated!

You all are awesome. Thank you so much for support!
I’m having a blast racing my bike…it would not nearly be as fun without the cycling community.
      See you at Menlo Park!
