    Slice my tires

    savagesprints.jpgI can’t believe I didn’t publicize this event last week … what a douche.

But don’t worry, there’s more of these pedal parties coming up (Jan 23, Feb 6, Feb 20, Mar 6 & Mar 20).   And if you’re anywhere near the “Hot Italian” Pizza & Panini Bar in Sacramento for one of these dates … stop by and burn your pants off.

Dean Alleger is the maestro behind the madness and he’s using the Savage Sprints to focus attention and funding on building a new velodrome for the Sacramento area.  He’s organized, he’s passionate, and he’s got a crew of hoodlums working overtime to make each of these events kickass and on-target to move that Velodrome dream into reality.

    Suh-weet.

Take a look at the fine fotogs from Rik Keller and spread the word that there’s prizes, there’s civilized mayhem, and there’s pizza at the upcoming Savage Sprints.

      Thanks Hernando!!!

Yep, right before the women’s final between Emily Kachorek (who came straight from the airport to win the ladies bracket) and Carrie Lo (Glenn Chadwick’s diamond in the rough and future track phenom) I declared to 40 racers and about a hundred kindred spirits “Whenever I am involved in promoting a race, I will always offer equal billing and equal prizes to our women.”

If you really want to help out, come race on Super Bowl Sunday and bring three fast women with you. That particular race will be billed as the Super Bowl Sunday Savage Sprints Drag Race at Hot Italian. I think you know what I’m talkin’ bout…all racers are encouraged to wear a costume!

You can go hammer yourselves silly at the Paskenta Century Race then come eat, drink, and drool all over my rig at Hot Italian.
