As shown by the numbers Bay Area cx racers can’t even motivate to make a short drive to race in Santa Rosa. How is it then that people are going to drive as far away as Bakersfield? That’s like saying to so. cal., come on up and race against us but the race is in Redding.

Given that i receive jack shit from local promoters and get a full on press release from some random SoCal dude I’d say he might be slightly more on his game. What ever the reason Murph took down a big crew last year and made it an event, I think NorCal won a bunch of the elite races.

Last year a fairly small contingent of Nor Cal Racers accepted the challenge and made the trek to B’Field, myself included. It was a wicked cool event! I’ll be there again this coming January trying to earn points for the Nor Cal squad. Look gang… the only reason So Cal took the trophy last year was because they outnumbered the Nor Cal squad about 3 to 1. There’s no doubt Nor Cal is the class of Cali CX… so show up and prove it once and for all!

Hey NorCal. I’m thinking last year stung a little bit. Got a taste of humble pie, eh? Are you angry? You want some revenge? Bring it. http://www.youtube.com/v/EHcU4VSdMhI

I came down to Bakersfield with a friend last year to represent NorCal. I have to say that Sam put on a solid race. A little mud, some wicked run-ups, a beer garden… I only hope the guy doesn’t run out of fries this year.

Borrow your parents car, hop a freight train, carpool, do whatever it takes…… Make the trip south, you won’t regret it. The whole North v. South is just a good friendly marketing jab. Sam really put one together last year. He had it all in one event… A beer tent, great food vendors, one sweet course complete with two separate leg burning run ups. Plus we got to race in Bakersfield. Something to tell the grand kids about someday while sitting in a rocking chair. So, Gern, don’t worry about everyone else, just load load up all the available seats in your car and head south for a weekend of fun.

Los Angeles and Bakersfield on the same team againt Nor-Cal fools who live about 5 hours from Bakersfield. My LA Team is 1 1/2 hours away from the race and Bakersfield racers are on my team as well. Nor-Cal drons are like 5-6 hours away and I am hoping their legs are dead from the drive. Sounds like a fare competition to me, LA has this fixed!

      See you there.

This race was the business. It was so inspiring last year that I actually wrote more than 140 characters about it!

The MOON UNIT is rolling again, there is no better way to finish out the season than to do this race*.

*There’s still Surf City the weekend after, so it’s not actually the end of the season, but was my last race last season…
