In the spirit of consumerism and support of NorCal businesses here are links to a bunch of previous stories and videos on great NorCal companies. If you are going to go out and drop some coin be sure to hit your LBS and support your local cycling community.
Mission Workshop: Coolest looking bags and jacket/sweater combo i have seen in a long time. I am lusting for these things.
Willow Glen Bikes and Santa Cruz Butcher: Great LBS and cool MTN bike for roadies. Worst interview ever. Kinda funny in how awful i was. Eric was so disgusted with me he walked away from a second attempt.
Giro Footwear: Lightest shoe on the market out of the geniuses in Scotts Valley. Who would have thought that hi-tec shoes would come out of that backwater.
Paul Components: Paul gave me a bottle opener which i treasure. There is so much cool stuff coming out of Pauls shop it’s hard to pick one item. If you look for a bit you will find something you need. And when the apocalypse comes it will be your weapon of choice.
Ritchey Swiss Cross: A classic bike. It’s the kind of thing you get when you are going to just go with one bike for the rest of your life.
Sheila Moon: It’s like buying a Pucci, but you can wear it when you are riding.
Garmin Vector: Perfect gift for the NorCal tech geeks. Yes – Dan C. I’m talking to you! I don’t care if you are half runner now… this is no good until you give me a review.
Secret Drink Mix: I’m fussy, and delicate like and orchid. SDM is the only thing I can drink now. It’s like… awesome.
Leopard DC 1: Hernando is fussy, and not quite delicate, he’s more… birdlike. He liked this bike which means it must be awesome.
Black Dog Gearing and Track Apps: Hellyer native Gio Rey put these apps together and I have used them ever since. Why don’t more NorCal people make apps. You’re all useful engines right?
I will have another quick list of local businesses in a day or two… I have a few more folks i think did interesting stuff hat deserve to be plugged for the Holidays. If you have any ideas shoot them over.
