• NorCal ‘Cross Racers in US World Cyclo-cross Championship Team

    USA Cycling announced the names of racers to compete for the United States at the 2012 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Koksijde, Belgium, 28-29 January. The World Championship team includes recently crowned National Champions Katie Compton (Rabobank-Giant), Jeremy Powers(Team Rapha-Focus), Zach McDonald (Team Rapha-Focus), and Logan Owen (Team Redline).
    Northern California is well represented in the team with California Giant Berry Farms-Specialized racers Tobin Ortenblad, for Junior Men, and Cody Kaiser, for U23 Men. Chris Jones (Team Rapha-Focus) was a discretionary selection for Elite Men after his sixth place finish at US Nationals.

    Cody "Kid" Kaiser (California Giant Cycling) will go to Koksijde, Belgium, 28-29 January, with the US 2012 World Cyclocross Championship team.
