• Team Mike’s Bikes: Not Just A ‘Cream Puff’ Team Any More

by  • February 9, 2012 • Crit, norcal scene, teams

The last lap of Cherry Pie was as intense as any crit but a revamped Mike’s Bikes Team took the duty at the front to keep it fast and safe. Race Director Steve Pelaez, known for his speed and ability to float to the front, put together an young hungry team in order to become a NorCal powerhouse. With riders like Tyler Brandt, Tyler Dibble, Andy Goessling, the squad will give Marc Pro Strava and Cal Giant a run for their money.  If Pelaez can stay on the right side of the law, he got up Levi’s butt while taking some video at The Grand Fondo, they could be a crit powerhouse.

“We have a new group of young talented riders and this was our 1st race together.  I’m really happy with the way we raced together and took control of the closing laps.  It’s a promising start.  MBFY!”. – Steve Pelaez Race Director [ed. note – I have no idea what MBFY means]

Pelaez recorded the race on a GoPro and put together the following video for your viewing enjoyment. He needs a world class editor to make the video work but he always nails the music.
