“Forgive me father for I have sinned.  My last confession was…”

For the love of…okay, let’s have the drama at the Tour de France.  It seems like every year, it’s getting worse in terms of media headlines and the over the top wordings around the matter in the news.  On the other hand, wtf is Frank Schleck taking diuretic in the summer months in France?  Some say it’s a masking agent and some say it’s just plain stupid.  Check out more videos about the drama in today’s rest day.  The media figured out how to captivate our attention by producing catchy contents.

Check out some silly interviews and coverage about oil spills and tacks on Stage 15.  Why don’t they interview or cover those silly French men standing on top of their RV cheering the racers with white weenie bikinis?  Or, a biography of Didi – the TDF devil who is recovering from brain surgery and is missing the TDF this year.  Why did Didi pick the devil and not any other character?

Let’s be honest, we discuss, argue, make facebook comments, tweet and share our opinions about the drama and yet, we still watch the TDF.  It’s pure entertainment just like any other sports.  It is a constant soap opera that makes news and we enjoy being part of it.

What is it that makes us want more?

For those die-hard fans, Stage 16 starts around 2am PST and it’s going to be a firecracker kinda stage!

Also, don’t miss this French movie – “The Triplets of Belleville.”  if you can’t fall asleep and want to kill time before 2am.
