• Be Careful Out There Deer: The Thanksgiving Post

by  • November 22, 2012 • norcal scene, too random

Like Alice’s Restaurant, i like to trot out certain stories on Thanksgiving and Christmas. This classic was laid down by Hernando who told it after a group ride with his good friend A. Hunter.  Hunter, an all around nice guy and fun person to ride with, had a run in with a deer, and the subsequent story became one of the most popular posts of 2011. The story has all the hallmarks of a Holiday Classic. It has a pending disaster, a miracle, a scenic back drop, and chicks – though the ladies don’t figure too prominently in the story, a fact we will rectify in the made for TV special.  It is the ultimate tale of caution, luck, and skill all capped off with a Christmas miracle.  We bring the story back each year at Thanksgiving and Christmas as a #nccn Holiday tradition.  If anybody wants to narrate it I’d be up for creating an audio post that can be played each Christmas, sounds like a perfect job for a cross promoter with a booming voice.
