imgresMerco was a blast and Madera SR is coming right up.  Time to tighten the bolts on your TT rig if you didn’t get out to Merco and enter one of the few flat stage races in the country.  One reader asked for us to send out a reminder to get your registrations so he’d have a full field to race against, so here it is REGISTER FOR MADERA SR.  Madera is always a fun low key GC style stage race.  No Race Day Entries So Get On It.

I have been wanting to promote the Basque Restaurants that dot the Central Valley for some time.  All to often we focus on the negative aspects of the Central Valley like poor roads, cities that have seen better days, and pick up trucks.  Of course it’s both beautiful and terrible like any area that holds cool bike races.  Back to my point about the food… The Basque settlers that immigrated to California for sheepherding duties left a rich history of restaurants that are worth checking out if you want to get a European family style meal.  Check out the article below to see if there will be a restaurant near your hotel.
