    Magnificent results for NorCal as the top three Women’s time trial positions go to riders from the region.

    Amy Thornquist (Pinnacle p/b Argon 18) completed her 30 kilometres in 47’32″. Alison Tetrick (Exergy TWENTY16) took second, 21 seconds off the pace.

    Molly Van Houweling (Metromint Cycling) finished in third place 95 seconds back. Fellow ‘Mint Julie Bellerose was fifth to complete an outstanding performance by local riders.

    Going into the Stage 3 criterium later today, Thornquist leads the general classification ahead of Tetrick. Van Houweling moves up from 21st to third but sits 103 seconds in arrears.

    With more results for NorCal, Logan Loader (Cash Call Mortgage) recorded the fastest time for the Men at 41’21.6″. Justin Rossi (Marc-Pro Strava) put in the second fastest time at 41’59.2″.

    Adrien Costa (Slipstream-Craddock Junior Development) was seventh fastest and the last of the riders under 43 minutes.

    Other top results for the NorCal contingent include Ariel Herrmann (Metromint Cycling) in eighth place and Shawn Rosenthal (Team Mike’s Bikes p/b Incase) in tenth.

    Loader takes over the P/1/2 Men’s general classification lead with a 31-second advantage over Craig Richey (Trek Red Truck Racing p/b Mosaic Homes) and 39 seconds over Rossi.

    California Giant Berry Farms/Specialized have two riders in the top ten; Stefano Barberi in seventh and Robin Eckmann in eighth. Herrmann has the ninth spot at a deficit of 1’54″.
