Since Le Tour is about to start I better distract you with some mountain bike info now.

    Downieville Classic August 1-4

I have always wanted to go to Downieville but moved before I could make it happen.  At the very least I’d love to get photos and coverage this year.  If any of our faithful readers, who dream of contributing to NCCN, are going – drop us a line.  We can make your dream come true.

The BarFly for mountain bikes is hitting shops soon. This will be a huge improvement over trying to fit those horrible Garmin-strap-contraptions on a short MTB stem.  Highlights are  below, we’ll post a full review when we get one in hand.

    • Ships: July 1
    • Made in the USA
    • Lifetime crash replacement guarantee
    • Compatible with Garmin 200/500 and 510/800/810
    • Locates Garmin behind stem face plate out of harms way
    • Ideal for shorty, upright, and negative rise stems
    • Allows for leveling of the computers screen

The Sport of The Future: Enduro Racing

It’s going to be a while before the California Enduro Series comes to Santa Cruz, but racing continues this weekend in Lakeshore, California at the China Peak Enduro.  I had an enduro writer, I just need to sober him up and maybe he’ll get some some more photos and race reports from the weekend.
