ThresholdSports operates one of Utah’s largest and most prominent cycling clubs, as well as supporting its own elite racing squad. It is registered in Utah under the name of its primary sponsors: Intermountain LiVe Well presented by Bountiful Bicycle. Founder and General Manager of ThresholdSports, Joel Rackham, and Founder and General Manager of Leadout Sports, Mark Deterline, entered into this mutually supportive affiliation, spanning the two states, in order to create a larger regional program that will compete together at the national level.

The ThresholdSports powered by Leadout Endurance Coaching cycling team boasts top Northern California talent, such as Kimberly Fong, Jeanette Haggas and Emily Thurston on the women’s side, while Martin Acosta and reigning Junior National Points Champion, Raul Arias, headline its men’s squad.

“Deterline and I have been working closely together to promote women’s and men’s cycling in Utah through the development of ThresholdSports-supported riders and community programs,” explained Rackham. “Beyond this focus in the Intermountain West, Mark provides broader reach, as well as connections at the national and international levels that will help both state programs grow, and grow together.”

Offering additional perspective, Deterline stated that “Rackham has been expanding his Intermountain LiVe Well program to prominence in Utah with an eye toward national-level competition. His organization is a valuable partner, because he recognizes the need for local representation and community outreach, as well as broader, regional representation that will allow ThresholdSports to operate and expand its influence beyond the state of Utah.”

ThresholdSports powered by Leadout Endurance Coaching aspires to be a contender in the women’s and men’s NCNCA Points and NCNCA Premier Series, as well as participate in targeted national events. Its 2014 rosters:
