    10 U25 riders set to join after 2013 success

    The 2013 season launched the VuMedi Elite Cycling team, being recognized in the peloton and finishing the season long NCNCA Premier Series in the top-3 teams. In 2014 the team is expanding from 10 to 18 riders through the addition of U25 riders.

    VuMedi Elite Cycling team

    “After a great start in 2013, my focus remains to bring exciting racing to Northern California while improving on our top-3 in 2013 is our primary objective for 2014.” said Robert Winder, CEO and Team Owner of VuMedi. “The strength in our program is the blend of experience and youth. Each of the riders know what I expect and how I expect them to race. I’m immensely proud of the team we’ve assembled, they’re an amazing group.”

    Team Director, AJ Kennedy said “We’ve expanded our program to achieve the stated aim of developing U25 riders and repeating our success in the NCNCA Premier Series Team competition. Getting riders racing at the best races in NorCal is key to building the experience required to move up. Our sponsors are excited by the program and are engaging with us inspiring the next generation of talented athletes. We’ve raised expectations for 2014 and it’s my job to make sure everyone on the team performs and our sponsors receive the recognition as leaders in our community”

    Expanded Support in 2014

    In addition to the young talent, Tim Larkin  and Trevor White  have joined to serve as mentors and counselors to riders both on and off the bike. The team is pleased to to have continuing support from VuMedi  and Kennedy and Associates  in addition to new supporting sponsors, Cycleution Coaching, D-tools  and Precision Sports Medicine . Continued industry support comes from Hammer Nutrition.

    New industry sponsors include bicycle sponsor NeilPryde Bikes, American Classic Wheels, Panaracer  tires, Ritchey Logic,  and The BarFly Mount.  The team’s service course is Real Wheels Bicycle Studio  in Nevada City – the home of Cycleution Coaching . Vanessa’s Bistro 2  in Walnut Creek is the official restaurant of VuMedi Elite Cycling Team.
