Two weeks ago we caught up with Jade Wilcoxson (Optum Pro Cycling) before she flew to Europe to race with the U.S. National team. Wilcoxson, the current U.S. Road Race Champion and Individual Pursuit Champion, may be the best American woman on a domestic team. Wilcoxson was supposed to line up at Saturday’s World Cup, Ronde van Drenthe, but due to a concussion she suffered at the Het Nieuwsblad she’s been relegated to the team car. In this Primetime Podcast Wilcoxson talks about how she started cycling, her successful 2013 season, her big crash at the Nature Valley Grand Prix, and her entrepreneurial efforts with her company, Pure Clean Powder.
We also broadcast the entirety of the interview with noted coach Dr. Kristin Keim who specializes in mindfulness and the mental aspects of elite performance.
