KOKitKitOrder.com, a Bay Area technology company with a long history of supporting women’s cycling, has announced that it will support a women’s multi-sport team for the 2014 season.

Janelle Kellman, former co-founder of Dolce Vita Women’s Cycling and co-founder of the women’s race team RED Racing, had a particular goal in mind for launching a KitOrder branded team:  “For 2014, we are VERY excited to announce the sponsorship of our very own women’s elite multi-sport squad – comprised of category 1 cyclists and elite-level female triathletes.  Our goals for 2014 are to support the NorCal criterium race calendar as much as possible, and to introduce accomplished endurance athletes to the sport of cycling. Several of our athletes have qualified for the Kona World Championships in triathlon and are well poised to challenge for top podium spots at some of the local time trials in NorCal.

This year’s cycling squad boasts cycling stalwarts like Trish Black, a Masters National Champion (and all around amazing human), and Kate Ligler a Cat 1 racer with extensive experience in both criteriums and road races.     Our roster also has a supportive networking mission: 75% of our athletes also work in the technology sector, making us a team that truly blends our purpose, goals, and mission.  We are, quite truthfully, ladies who tech, compete, and support women’s cycling.”

As a women-owned company, KitOrder has a proven commitment to supporting women’s cycling and athletics. KitOrder was a title sponsor of the Menlo Park Grand Prix in 2013.  In 2014 KitOrder will also be sponsoring 3-time New Zealand Ironman Champion Meredith Kessler, and the NRC women’s cycling team Fearless Femme.
