This will be a very special evening in conjunction with the Amgen Tour of California Women’s Races that are taking place Sunday, May 11th in Sacramento and Monday, May 12th in Folsom.

Farina, leads the Davis Bike Club Development Program as part of the WCA’s commitment to help develop new riders and grow the sport. “This will be a particularly great evening for women’s cycling! Not only will we be featuring the film Half the Road, but we will be celebrating the Women’s races at the Amgen Tour of California in which the biggest names in cycling will attend. This fundraiser supports the future of women’s cycling. We hope everyone will come out and get involved,” said Farina.

President and CEO of Cedaron Medical, Karen Bond, is a major supporter of the Davis Bike Club and women’s cycling advocate. “The competitive ‘I will podium today’ is found in the DNA of all pro cyclists but is not linked to gender. I know this because I am privileged to know remarkable female athletes that drive themselves to superior performance levels to cross the finish line. When I learned professional women cyclists had much smaller purses or no purse at all compared to men, I felt obliged to support these women any way I can. The competitive edge in the heart of the woman cyclist deserves acknowledgment and I am working towards that end.”
