CoreTechs Staffing Cycling Team, based out of Redwood City in Northern California, is proud to announce their second year racing in the Elite Cat 1/2 division. CoreTechs’ goal last year was to make their presence known at the local Pro/1/2 scene. CoreTechs finished the season as the number four ranked team in the NCNCA and had the first and second ranked riders in the BAR, Randy Bramblett and Nick Baird respectively. This year CoreTechs is looking to improve their standing in the BAT competition and get that coveted podium spot.
The team was founded in order to give a home to those riders, that are top level local racers looking for team structure and camaraderie, but are not looking for a pro contract. They work full time and hold down full time jobs while still racing Pro/1/2 events. Staff plan to keep the group together as long as possible and hopes that some of them will eventually transition to their elite Masters team. It will be an exciting year to watch the “Brain Train”, the CoreTechs logo is a cartoon brain, roll through the Northern California schedule . The team’s returning roster includes Randy Bramblett, winner of the 2015 Bay Area Rider award, Nathanael “Nano” Christensen, Rob Schell, and Sergei Badeka. In addition CoreTechs is excited to announce the addition of former professional rider, Jared Barrilleaux, Number two NCNCA BAR winner Nick Baird and NorCal strong men, Stephen Cabebe, Darin Morgan and Tony Wolf.
Back for their third year as an elite masters race team is the CoreTechs Staffing TwT squad. This group of “old guys” can still race their bikes at the top end of the masters races. In 2015 the team finished the year as the number one 45+ Cat 1/2/3 squad in Northern California for the second straight year. Looking for a three-peat the team adds 3x district crit champ Shaun Bagley, 2015 track district champ Daryl Hemenway; and strongmen Guy Van Natta, Mark Johnson and Dennis Wall. They return 2015 track district champ, Andrew Adelman, multi time winner Steve Heaton, and former track national champion Andrew Nevitt.
