Today was a tough one. Ben Jacques-Maynes went out with a broken collar bone, brother Andy crashed going into the finish – thankfully got up and finished, and none of our NorCal Nation made the break. To top it all off CBS and Tyler Hamilton used today to break the latest “I saw Lance doping,” story. I’m not saying it ain’t true, but give the TOC a break okay? I want this race to continue! My guess is that the Amgen TOC news cycle is way better than breaking a story during the Tour de France in July, since everybody is on vacation. Quit messing with the TOC you stupid media outlets!
Only a handful The TOC’s longest stage shed a lot of riders despite a lack of serious mountains. Only a few domestic pro’s made it into the final group, and Lucas Euser (Spidertech) was one of the hardmen to make it into the group. Every year one of the American Euro-Pros make some comment about how the domestic pro’s aren’t really impressive. Looks like Euser is on his way back up after a a few hard years.
