Stupid CBS and Lance Armstrong ruined TOC for me this year. The only upside was watching Horner get on top of the game for once. It was cool watching the Jacques-Maniacs get nuts in early race attacks for the first several days. It was even more exciting watching Talansky take his place amongst the pantheon of the next great generation of American cyclists. Yesterday Paul Mach took a step up and right behind him was Chris Jones. Jones had another good finish today coming in at 18th in a stage designed for sprinters. Jones should have a few big years with CX Worlds coming over in 2013, and now being on a team that has some European aspirations it would be cool to see him start to get more UCI races under his belt. Chris Jones takes the last Awesome Award of the 2011 Amgen TOC for sticking out the race for a top 20 spot today and 32 overall in the GC.

Plus he is a nice guy proving once and for all that nice guys don’t have to finish last…
