Bjorn Fox selected for CX Junior Worlds … help the family out!
Cyclocross Magazine, BikeReg.com, and superfan Steve Litvin have teamed together for a cool fundraiser to support Bjorn’s trip to compete against the best riders in the world. As we all know, USACycling doesn’t cover costs of riders’ trips to World Championships … so we of the cycling community do what we do best ~ support our rising stars!
Anyone who’s been in Norcal over the past few years has seen the progression of Bjorn on the bike. Actually, it’s hard to miss him with that shock of radical red hair screaming around dirt courses like a deranged Johnny Rotten on a bike.
This is a youngster with a ton of potential and will join the growing ranks of Norcal young riders making big splashes on the international professional scenes of cycling.
.
The FUNDRAISER is a raffle for a pair of brand spanking new, but beautifully old-school, super pimp Michelin “Green” mud tires. These babies are no longer in production and have achieved legendary status amongst cross afficianados. It’s $5 a ticket, with BikeReg.com waiving all processing fees … so 100% of the funds go directly to support Bjorn’s family and his trip to represent USA at the World Championships.
So buy a bunch of ‘em.
Cyclocross Magazine has all the info on how to purchase the tickets. Please DO IT NOW, folks!

Anyone who has ever spent more than 5 minutes with Mike Sayers can tell you that this is a man who can talk some shit about the life of the bike. Well, the awesome cycling community up in Chico are putting together a pre-Paskenta get together that will give Sayers a chance to entertain folks with a few of his gazillion cycling stories about life in the professional trenches.
(Info about the Paskenta ride and the folks who put it on.)
Sayers has seen it all - from the week-in, week-out gutterfests of the NRC domestic scene, to the star-gazing, butt-clenching cobbles of Belg’o France, to the windswept, sun burned skyscapers of Dubai … this is a guy who’s chewed the bars, been behind the director’s wheel, and scraped himself off of more race courses then most of us will ever do.
So, if you’re interested in a night of meeting some great folks, eating some good old fashioned Mom’s cooking, and listening to an old war-dog spill some stories ~ check out the info on Chico Corsa’s evening with Mike Sayers.
